Saxon Woods Park

This is a very popular park in Westchester County located mainly in Scarsdale and Mamaroneck. After hiking the yellow loop in Mamaroneck, we hiked another half mile or so (and back) to the point where the trail crosses under the Hutchinson River Parkway. Near this spot is where the Hutchinson River Parkway trail connects to the park, heading briefly into White Plains, before entering Harrison.

For this section of bike path, we parked across the street from the big church on Fountain Terrace, and headed north up the path into White Plains. The path runs along side the Bronx River Parkway, the Metro North Harlem Line, and the Bronx River, weaving in between, over, and under each of them at various points.
