We hiked a two and a half mile loop trail around one of the reservoirs here. The loop utilizes part of the Colonial Greenway, a multi-town trail through Westchester County. The section on the east side of the reservoir crosses over into New Rochelle, and you can see photos from that section on the New Rochelle page. Surprisingly, there was still quite a bit of foliage on the trees, but unfortunately the weather forecast that called for Mostly Sunny skies was wrong, and it was cloudy for most of our hike. We completed the loop as laid out by the All-Trails app, but I was planning on continuing along the greenway for a bit, but Lexi must have stepped on something and started to favor one of her rear paws. I stopped to look at it, but couldn't find anything wrong with it. As a precaution we didn't do any more than the loop. Whatever it was, it no longered bothered her by the time we got home. She may have gotten a pricker or something stuck between the pads on her paws. I'm relieved it wasn't anything major. It cut our adventure short, but it's better be safe than sorry!

This was a pretty fun stretch of bike trail. We started at the southern end in Bronxville and headed north, entering the Village of Tuckahoe. The path mostly runs between the Bronx River Parkway and the Bronx River. This is not an escape to nature trail. It's never that far away from a busy parkway. One short stretch near the town line actually runs along the road and an on-ramp to the parkway. We walked about two miles up to the Crestwood Train Station, before turning around and heading back. The path weaves in an out of Yonkers a few times, so those pictures are on the that page.

After our Bronx River Pathway adventure, we walked around the center of Bronxville. There are some cool looking buildings here. The train station building in particular looks very unique.
