Red River Beach

This was the third of three beaches on the Cape we visited on this day. Dogs are allowed on Harwich beaches from the day after Labor Day until the the day before Memorial Day. Unlike the first two beaches we visited, Corporation Beach in Dennis and Linnell Landing Beach in Brewster, this one is on the south shore of the Cape. It seemed cooler and windier here, and there were a few more clouds which blocked out the sun during the first part of our visit here. This is a simple beach, sand and shore, with mild waves, and a few short jetties. There were two young women doing a polar plunge which was amusing. We walked about a mile and half total, wrapping up this trip to Cape Cod. With this visit to Harwich, Barnstable County is the first Massachusetts county where we have visited every town. Even though we've been to every town on "The Cape", there is still more for us to explore for sure.
