This was the first of three beaches on the Cape, in three different towns, we visited on this gorgeous late February day. Temperatures were into the mid-50's, and it felt like spring! Dogs are allowed on Dennis town beaches from the day after Labor Day until the Thursday before Memorial Day. This beach was nicer than I expected, easily the best of the three beaches we visited. Despite being tucked well within the bay, there were still waves, and the sand was soft with limited amounts of seaweed build up. We walked for a bit over mile, before turning around and heading back. After this, we headed to Linnell Landing Beach in Brewster, and then Red River Beach in Harwich.

I grouped these beaches together, because they are a mile apart and we walked the length of both of them all at once. We parked at the Chapin Memorial Beach lot and headed east through Mayflower Beach, and almost reached Corporation Beach, before turning around and heading back. It was bright and sunny, and the cool temperatures didn't stop the dogs from playing on the beach. Lexi wanted to be let off the leash to run, and had a lot of fun getting her energy out by zooming in and out of the edge of the water.
