Bruce Freeman Rail Trail

Here is another multi-town rail trail in Massachusetts. We started at the current northern end, just south of the Lowell town line. We headed south toward the Historic Chelmsford Center Village. The trail tunnels under US-3, and under a I-495 bridge, while passing behind a number of businesses. The best part of the walk was the center of town. This part of the trail also includes the Chelmsford Center Artwalk, a short section with painted murals. There was also a farmers market going on at the Town Common. At this point, we turned around and headed back, walking about four and a half miles total. This is a pretty decent section of bike trail.
