This is nicest dog park we've visited...hands down! The dog park sits on 17 acres land owned by O&G Industries. The company allows the dog park to use it's land. There is a standard, enclosed small dog park which we ignored completely. The main part of the dog park, is a wide open, sprawling area, with natural barriers as opposed to fences. Besides the large grassy area, there is a stream for the dogs to swim in, and some short trails. They can be off-leash everywhere in the park. We explored the trails, then the dogs soaked up the stream, before doing some zoomies in the main section of the park. We will definitely be returning here some time in the future!

This is another rails to trails project. This is a stone dust trail, and used a lot for horseback riding. We walked a section of the trail in Southbury and Oxford. This part of the trail was not very exciting.

The park is located on Transylvania Road, and the trail we walked circles Transylvania Pond. The place was okay. The types of trees in the woods must be late bloomers, because it still looked pretty bare. There is a lot of skunk weed too. I was impressed that there is a significant amount of boardwalk covering most of the muddy spots. The most disappointing part of our visit was that we didn't encounter any vampires. The parking area and one side of the pond are in Woodbury, while the rest of the trail is part of Southbury.
