This is one of the best places we've visited in Massachusetts. The state park is on a peninsula that extends into Hingham Bay, and is located on a former Nike missle site. There's an easy stone dust loop trail that runs for about two miles, as well as a mowed meadow area, and rocky beaches along the perimiter of the peninsula. In addition to the trail, we explored the entire rocky beach. One side of the peninsula offers views of the Boston skyline. There are also views of many boats, yachts, and ships that use the bay. There are plenty places for the dogs to cool off in the water. There's a picnic area, as well as other picnic tables throughout the park. It's a great place to bring dogs for a walk. The weather was perfect, so this was a really fun trip!

This is a very small state park. There is a 0.7 mile paved walking loop around the park, which also includes the Kibby Property, which technically isn't part of the state park, but can be accessed here as well. There was a spot where the dogs were able to get into the water to cool off on a very warm and humid Labor Day. On the other side of the river is Stodders Neck Park, where we headed next.

This park is mostly contained within the town of Braintree, but there is a parking area and a connecting trail in Weymouth. The picture below is from the small Weymouth portion of the park. Read about the entire adventure on the Braintree page.
