The main feature here is the paved two mile trail that loops the pond. There are two paved connecting trails, one from the main parking area, and another from a secondary parking area in nearby Weymouth. This paved trail is very popular with the dog walkers. We saw may different dogs on this day. The loop trail is unusual as it is "one-way", and has many small hills, especially at the beginning of the trail. There are standard, natural surface side trails that lead closer to the pond, or to the woods, but many of them were muddy or completely flooded, so we stayed on the main trail. We extended our walk an additional mile by walking out and back on the connector trail that leads to the Weymouth parking area. This was an early trip for us. We arrived before noon, as rain was forecasted later in the day. It started to pour about 10 minutes after we finished, so it was a good thing we went early!
