We actually adopted Mandy in Rochester, 10 years and 18 days prior to this visit! This was a homecoming for her, but I'm sure she doesn't remember any of it, as she was pretty much kept in a crate outside before we rescued her. At any rate, we were out near Syracuse in a town named Geddes, and decided to drive an hour east for the sunny skies in Rochester! This park features paved walking paths along the river, with great views of the city. The park was clean and looked well maintained. We didn't arrive until about 5:15PM, so we didn't have a lot of daylight left. The path led us to the downtown area, where we explored what we could, before heading back to the park. We walked a little over two and half miles total on a beautiful autumn evening.

This was not a planned trip. We wound up in Rochester because it was sunnier here than it was at our previous stop. This was actually the farthest we've actually traveled for an adventure, and also the farthest west we've been. We started at Genesee Gateway Park and walked as much of the downtown area as we could during our remaining hour and fifteen minutes of sunlight we had left. We wound up walking through Washington Square Park, and Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park, as well as stopping at some random office buildings for photos. I don't know if we missed any real good sights in the city, but we did about all we had time for before it got dark. It was sunny and about 70 degrees, which helped make this a very pleasant city walk.
