Here's yet another nice beach on the Jersey Shore. This was the first stop on our two-day early November Jersey Shore adventure. It was 74 degrees here, but very windy. It was still a great day to walk on the beach, considering it was November (and Election Day)! Despite the signage on the beach that simply said "No Dogs Allowed", the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department web page says dogs are allowed on the beach from September 15th through May 15th at anytime, but only between sunrise and 7:30am the rest of the year. They are never allowed on the boardwalk. We started at the Forman Avenue access point, and walked about a mile in each direction (four miles total). The northern part of the beach is more commercial, with tiki bars, an arcade and an amusement park in view, while the southern part borders private residences. After the beach, we found a hotel for the night, and would hit up beaches in Bay Head and Mantoloking the next day.
