This is a nice park with a lot of different places to take photos. There's a farm, a pond, various playgrounds, a carousel, monuments, a dog park, and even a farm. The dogs weren't allowed in the farm, but we were still able to take some pictures from the outside of the farm. The park reminded me of Roger Williams Park in Providence, but maybe not quite as nice. We walked a 2 1/2 loop around the park which utilized the Ten Mile River Greenway for part of the path. The only downside was that is a warm day and there was no place for the dogs to get into the water to cool off.

The Ten Mile River Greenway is a paved bike trail that starts in the Rumford section of East Providence, and continues through Slater Park in Pawtucket, before ending north of the park. Unlike most paved bike paths, it is not a rail trail. It follows the Ten Mile River for just three miles total. The Ten Mile River itself is 22 miles long, so this trail only covers a small portion of the river. (I have no idea why it is named the "Ten Mile River" when it is much longer than that). We walked the entire East Providence section and up to Slater Park, stopping where we left off on the trail when we visited the park last summer. We also explored some side trails that get closer to the river. The pictures below are from the Pawtucket section.
It took us two years, but we finally finished this trail. This is the section of the trail north of Slater Park, ending at the little league facility at Dagget Field. The section is a little less that a mile, so we also explored some side trails near the ball fields, as well as the area around the dam near Slater Park.
