When I think of the "Twin Cities," I think of Minneapolis and St. Paul, but here in Massachusetts the Twin Cities mean Leominster and Fitchburg. This is a paved trail that connects the two towns. It's a newer trail, and there are plans to extend it to both the north and the south. We walked the entire completed section in Leominster, and a small portion of the Fitchburg section, about 2.5 miles worth of trail, so 5 miles out and back. The Leominster section goes right through the commercial area of the town, passing a number of different shopping plaza's, and crossing the Route 2 freeway via a nice bridge. The trail has a number of benches, and trash cans, but no porta-potties. It was sunny and mild for this walk, reaching 65 degrees, about 12 degrees warmer than our home area in Connecticut. It was a nice walk, and we'll have to come back and finish the Fitchburg portion soon.
