Ashokan Rail Trail

Not to be confused with the Disney+ Star Wars Series, Ahsoka, the Ashokan Rail Trail is a 11.5 mile wide gravel trail that runs along side the Ashokan Reservoir in Ulster County, New York. This is the eastern end of the trail, accesible from the Woodstock Dike trail head off Route 28. We walked about a mile and a half before turning around shortly after passing over the Glenford Dike. The Glenford Dike section offered great views of the reservoir. We wakled over three miles total here, since we had to walk in both directions. Prior to walking this section, we walked a short portion of the middle section of the trail in Olive.
