This was our first adventure of 2024. We started where we left off six months prior in Marlborough, crossing over to the Hudson portion of the trail. Right over the border is a tunnel under the Route 85 connector. The tunnel is pretty neat, with painted murals on both sides. The murals depict the high-school football teams from Marlborough and Hudson riding the train. One side shows the Hudson Hawks, and the other side shows the Marlborough Panthers. The trail progresses through residential, commercial and even some wooded areas. The entire route from Marlborough is downhill. It's a gradual decent, about 200 feet over two and a half miles. I didn't even really notice it on the way down, but certainly was aware of it on the way back! We turned around where the trail crosses Broad Street near the center of town. It was a pleasant trip to start the year off, on a sunny (finally) and chilly afternoon.
