This was a great day! We got one more taste of summer! Temps made it to the 80's throughout the region, even here in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. We celebrated the summer-like weather by going to the beach. Evidently, many other people had the same idea because this beach was packed. It was a full fledged beach day... on October 28th! Dogs are only allowed here in the off-season, October 1st through April 30th. We saw many other dogs here. I imagine there may have been more people here today than some summer days, since in addition to allowing dogs, they stop charging fees in the off-season. We parked at the lot on the south end. Had we parked on the street near the boardwalk, we still would have pay for the parking meter. The beach is about two miles long. We walked the length of the beach and some of the boardwalk...which really isn't a boardwalk, but it serves the same purpose. Waves rip here, but Mandy and Lexi found a calm area to sit in the water by the rocks on the north end of the beach. Some clouds started to roll in as we were completing our walk back, but it wasn't enough to put a damper on a surprise late October beach day.

The northern most portion of Seabrook Beach in Seabrook, NH actually crosses town lines into Hampton. This portion of the beach, with the rocks, is actually the nicest, most scenic section of the beach. Beyond the rocks, is the Hampton Harbor Inlet, and on the other side of the inlet is Hampton Beach. This was the only area where Mandy felt really comfortable in the water. The rocks blocked most of the heavy waves, so she had a nice little spot to lay down in!
