This was the second of two arboretum's that we visited on this day. This one was much nicer than than the first one. This is a massive place, spanning hundreds of acres, and features eight miles of trails. We only walked a bit over two miles of them! There are a number of flower beds and small gardens just across the street from the parking lot. There are also wonderful views of the Schoharie Valley. The half mile "Willow Plant Trail" features nearly all plants native to New York, grouped by type. It's not that spectacular this time of year, but I bet it's pretty neat in the late spring/early summer. It may warrant a return visit! The grounds are dog-friendly, as long as they remain leashed, and a $5 donation is suggested. The place is worth it just for the views!
