This is a small beach that sits on the town line between Cohasset and Hull. I'm not positive, but I think dogs are allowed here year round. It's a nice beach, despite it's small area. There are eight parking spots, but the sign said a permit was required to park (the town's website did not mention that a permit was needed for this beach). Since the beach is small, and we weren't staying long, we parked anyway (there were no other cars in any of the spaces when we arrived). I actually wanted to go to one of the larger town beaches, like Sandy Beach, but a resident parking permit is required year round. This town really does not want outsiders invading their ultra-wealthy community. The pictures below are from the Cohasset portion of the beach. This was the main attraction of our visit to Cohasset. Captain's Walk is a scenic walk along the coast, with views of the ocean and the surrounding area. The walk passes a number of historic places, parks and marinas. Some of the spots along the way include Veteran's Park, Lawrence Wharf, Fisherman's Park, and Mariners Park. The walk offers scenic views of the harbor. This was part of a larger, six mile walk through Cohasset, which include the Cohasset Common and downtown area, as well as Sandy Beach.

This is the area around the Cohasset Common, which is a small park in the center of town. The one public parking lot in town called "Parking Way" is located near here. Speaking of parking, the town of Cohasset is very strict about parking. There are a number of signs around town that say "Resident Parking Only" and "No Parking Without Permit". The signs say that this is strictly enforced year round, so be careful where you park. The town is very wealthy, and evidently don't want outsiders invading their community. Since we are here to walk anyway, parking at "Parking Way" wasn't an issue for this trip. We also walked over to the Cohasset Harbor area and did the guided Captain's Walk along the coast, and then finished our walk at Sandy Beach. This is a small beach in Cohasset with a very obvious name! Despite the empty parking lot, parking is heavily restricted to residents only, even in the off-season. Dogs are allowed from September 16th through March 31st, although according to some research, the dog restriction is sometimes extended through September 30th. There were about a dozen dogs on the beach, all off-leash, when we visited. Mandy enjoyed meeting the other dogs, while Lexi enjoyed running around the beach. The two even played a bit with each other, despite having already walked about 5 miles earlier in the day through the Cohasset Common and the harbor area. This was part of our larger walk, and the beach is a mile and a half from the lot on "Parking Way" near the Cohasset Common. It was a nice final stop on our walk and convenient since we were already in town, but the neighboring towns allow dogs in the off-season (Marshfield even allows dogs year-round), so there are better options in the more welcoming neighboring communities.
