This was not a planned stop. While I was up in New Hampshire, I decided to drive back through Vermont and went through Downtown Brattleboro. They were holding the "Gallery Walk", an arts festival that is held the first Friday of every month from May to December. They had some streets and some parking lots closed to host the street fair. There were vendors, and a band. It was a very cool spur of the moment stop. I found out Mandy does not like kids on skateboards. Other than that, the dogs impressed many people with how well they pose for pictures, even in the middle of a busy street fair.

This was a walk through downtown Brattleboro. They hold the "Gallery Walk" the first Friday of every month, and I had been there for that a few years prior. This was a walk through downtown on a different day, and we explored much more of the area. In addition to the shops and restaurants that line the streets, we went over to Brattleboro Common, Brattleboro Museum & Art Center, and Derby Park. We also walked part way across the General John Stark Bridge that connects Brattleboro VT to Hinsdale NH. We covered about four and a half miles in total, and it was a very nice walk. We had a great time exploring the area.

We visited this park area while walking through Downtown Brattleboro. It is a nice park area with a gazebo, monuments, and some open grassy areas. There were also some people playing frisbee in the park, and Mandy wanted to join in on the fun. Actually, none of that really happened....the Micosoft VS Code program's AI filled that all in, and I thought it was funny enough to keep in. The dogs did not want to play frisbee, and there were no people playing frisbee in the park. It was a nice park area though, and we had a good time walking through it.

Here are some photos from the outside of the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center. We passed through here as part of our walk through Downtown Brattleboro.

This is a park area behind the train station in Brattleboro. We passed through here as part of our walk through Downtown Brattleboro. The bridge was closed and the train station was under construction, but there were still a couple picnic tables here with nice views of the river. The brewery on sit was also closed.
