This wasn't a planned stop. We had already gone to two places in New York and New Jersey. Waze routed me on the Palisades Interstate Parkway on the way home from those stops, and I saw a sign for this place and thought I'd check it out. At first, I was just going to take a few photos by the scenic lookout area near the parking area, but then decided to walk the trail that leads to the New York Border. It was a fun hike with great views, but unfortunately I lost my wallet here! So, I wound up doing the whole thing twice because I retraced all our steps looking for the wallet. Needless to say, I did not recover it. This is a busy park, and someone must have grabbed it. We wound up hiking about 4 miles here, which wouldn't be a big deal except we had already hiked over six miles at the other two places. I had over 21,000 steps on the day. The dogs probably had four times that because their legs are smaller and they have four of them! I spent the evening online signing up for replacements for all my cards. So while it was a frustrating visit for me personally, this is a nice place for a scenic hike. Just don't lose anything.
