Not to be confused with Still River Greenway in Brookfield (which I believe is a completely different river), this bike trail runs from Torrington to Winchester. We walked the entire trail from the southern end in Torrington to the northern end in Winchester, and back. Most of the trail is in Torrington, only about a half mile of the three mile trail is in Winchester. This section of the trail is more scenic than the Torrington section, especially in the fall.

I don't know the real name for this place, so I made one up for the page. This is the walkway in downtown Winsted (a section of Winchester), that crosses the Mad River on a very high pedestrian bridge, accessible from Rt. 44. There is then a paved walkway on the other side that runs along side the river for a short distance. There are some signs indicating some of the history of the area along the trail.

This wasn't one of the better state parks we visited. It seems to be seldom used. There is a dirt road, with lots of bumps, wide enough for one car that leads to an unsigned parking area. The picnic area seems to consist of one old picnic table. It's possible that the park gets more interesting further down the road, but the dirt road narrows, and it wasn't on my map so I had no idea where it went. There are some trails and some wide open grassy areas that were at least partially mowed, so some maintenance is happening.
