This is a small park with athletic fields and a playground. There is a very short hiking trail, that seemed to be un-finished. There are steps at the end of the trail that lead to....nowhere. There is also a stream that runs nearby the trail.

Ordway Preserve

This looks like a great place. The trail head with the bench and the stone steps is really cool. Unfortunately the trail was closed the day we arrived. The sign posted read "Katherine Ordway Preserve CLOSED Until Further Notice Due to Reports of Agressive Coyotes. Possibly Denning on Site. NO TRESPASSING We are very sorry for the inconvenience." Agressive coyotes is all I need to hear... we got back in the car and headed to our backup trail!

This nature preserve straddles the border between Weston and Wilton. This was the backup plan since the Katherine Ordway Trail didn't work out. So we wound up at this place. You can read more about our hike here on the Wilton page. The pictures below are from the Weston section of the trail. I don't know what the deal is with the property beyond the stone wall with the sculpture. This area was used as the picture of the trail on the Aspetuck Land Trust page, but isn't really part of the property.
