Orzech Family Nature Preserve

This is a nice place. It's basically an old flat rail trail that connects a number of land preserves. We parked at the Orzech preserve and walked the trail until we hit Volunteer Bridge. I've mentioned before that Mandy does not like bridges, but in this case, she is probably right! The bridge looked rickety, and it certainly felt rickey. It wobbled the whole way across. We walked a short loop on the other side of the bridge, before returning back the way we came...over the same rickety bridge.

Roxbury Mines Preserve

This is a fun place to explore the ruins of an old iron mine and furnace. After investigating the structures, we hiked a two miles loop using trails named "Donkey Path" and "Nature Trail."
