This is another great Connecticut State Park located in Middlefield and Middletown. The actual falls are in Middlefield. There are two sets of falls, the large falls and the smaller falls. The larger falls aren't accessible directly from the main trails. You have to walk over a bridge on a road. The smaller falls are on the Middlefield part of the trail system. Both looked great in the winter, with the smaller falls being frozen over. The trails were nice too, and were well packed down in the winter. Even with a good deal of snow on the ground, they were easy to navigate.

This place is described as "Middlefield's Crown Jewel" on the town website. It seems to be the main town park in the town of Middlefield. There's a stone dust walking trail that circles the perimeter of the park, which includes athletic fields and playgrounds. There is also a dirt walking trail that runs along a path originally inteneded for a trolley line that was never completed. We tried to walk the entire length of this path, but the end of it was washed away and we couldn't continue. All in all, this place was better than I expected, and we were able to walk two miles here.
