Meriden

Hubbard Park

Date visited: 12/6/2020

Drove by the park and stopped on a whim. There are a lot of good opportunities for photos here. Evidently, there are trails in the back that include a pedestrian bridge over I-691, that lead up to Castle Craig. We just stayed in the park and took some photos around the waterfall.

Gorge Trail & Hanover Pond Trail

Date visited: 12/11/2020

I'm grouping these two together, because they are connected. These are paved walking trails that follow the Quinnipiac River and Hanover Pond. Also known as the "Meriden Linear G Trail". There were some nice views, and the trail is decorated for the holidays!

Meriden Green

Date visited: 7/25/2021

This is a very nice park situated in Downtown Meriden. The park is very well maintained. It was very clean, and the grounds were well cared for. The grass was very nice. There's a walking trail, a large pedestrian bridge, a stage area, and a small stream that runs through the park.

Guiffrida Park

Date visited: 5/20/2022

It's hard to believe that two plus years into this project, I'm still finding places in Connecticut as nice as this place! We hiked an easy trail along the west side of the Hubbard/Bradley Reservoir at Guiffrida Park. We hiked up to the bridge and then turned around. The trail continues around the other side of the reservoir, but the terrain is way too difficult on that side for the small dogs. It was only in the upper 60's and breezy here, but Mandy still insisted on going in the water a few times. The dogs look like quite messy in a few of these pictures, but everyone had a good time!
