This is a pretty cool place. There's a regular park with athletic fields, and open grass areas, as well as a paved walking trail. There is also a number of interesting hiking trails. There was this weird rock formation, that made for some nice photos. The other trails were great too.

We went here so you won't have to! Actually, this place wasn't that bad, once I figured out where I was going. I didn't have a GPS enabled map of the place, or reviews to read in advance. If I did, I would have realized that the large section in the open field would be filled with ticks. I spent 10 minutes pulling them off the dogs in the car before we left, and another 15 minutes pulling more off when I got home. The woods part of the trail is nice, but the field areas need to be avoided if you have dogs!

We stopped here because I was looking for a place to take pictures of the sunset. There was smoke in the upper atmosphere from wildfires in Alberta, Canada which was causing a haze in the sky for the past few days. It was also causing very vivid sunsets and sunrises. Unfortunately, I was too late as the sun had already dropped below the tree line. I noticed that the park had a short stone dust loop trail that runs for about three quarters of a mile. Since I was there, I decided to check it out. It is an okay trail. It is perfectly flat, and part of it runs along side the river. It's not worth making a special trip, but if you are in the area and looking for a quick, peaceful stroll, it will fit the bill.
