This is a pretty enjoyable jaunt through the woods. There is a trail that leads from the parking area along side Crooked River Road to a loop trail that circles the property. Part of the trail goes into the Weld Memorial Forest. The highlight is the area near Mink Cove where you can see Osprey nests overlooking the cove. You can see out to Little Harbor Beach. Just be aware, there is a section of the trail just before the loop with a narrow passage between two fences. There is a yellow farm house on one side. On our return trip there were two dogs on that side that did not like me and my dogs that close to their property. This caused a fair bit of a ruckus, that led to me taking a fall. Fortunately, only my pride was hurt. There was a woman working outside at the farm house who didn't seem to care that the dogs were barking at the hikers at all, and didn't even ask if I was alright or anything. Other than that, this was a pretty good four mile hike.

We saw this beach from our Great Neck Conservation Area hike, and it was five minutes away so I decided to check it out. Unfortunately it was a complete no go! It's a double whammy, as only residents can park and dogs are not allowed. So we got out of the car briefly and took a picture in front of the sign and went on our merry way.
