This was the beginning of "Beach Week" for Mandy and Lexi. It's the day after Labor Day, and some of the beaches that disallow dogs in the summer start welcoming them back, including this one! The tide was extremely low when we arrived. My All-Trails app showed that I was walking through the middle of the ocean! The sand is flat and hard, and easy to walk on. We headed south, eventually crossing into Old Orchard Beach before returning the way we came. Dogs are actually allowed off-leash in the off-season, and Lexi got to meet a dog that could have been her twin, but was a little big larger. We actually walked seven miles total along the beaches in both towns.
