This is a beautiful park located in Downtown Saratoga Springs, full of photo opportunities. In fact, there were a couple of different weddings setting up here on this day. There's a number of walking trails that weave in and out of various gardens, statues, fountains, and even a museum in the center of the park. This is a great place to take your dogs for a walk.

I thought about stopping here on our last visit to Saratoga Springs, but decided to save it for another day. It was a good choice, because this park is enormous. It spans 2,379 acres, so we couldn't cover the whole thing even on one day! There is much more here than a typical state park. The bath houses near the park office, make for great photo backdrops. There are mineral springs, one of which, called "Geyser Island Spouter" spouts water 10 to 15 feet in the air. The Saratoga Performing Arts Center is also located on this site. John Legend was playing there the day we visited, so the park was busy with lots of people arriving for the show. There are multiple pools and playgrounds, museums, theaters and even a hotel located on park grounds. Of course, there are trails too. We walked around the park and some of the trails, covering four miles total. We didn't see everything, but we made it through the main parts of the park. This is a beautiful park, and a great place to bring the dogs!
