We crossed over to Salisbury Beach while we were walking at nearby Seabrook Beach in Seabrook, New Hampshire. Dogs are actually allowed here after September 16th, so we didn't unknowingly break any rules.

While we visited the north end of the beach briefly during our Seabrook Beach adventure a few years back, this was our first real visit to the main part of this beach. The beach is about 3.5 miles long, so we only visited the southern end this time around. We started at the state reservation parking area near the jetty and worked our way up to the main touristy area near Broadway. My favorite section was the near the jetty, as the waves would hit the rocks. It was a beautiful day, with bright blue sky, and you could almost forget it was the middle of winter while looking out at the waves! Lexi got a little bit of running in, but was more subdued than usual. Along with exploring Broadway, we walked about four miles here on a nice mild winter afternoon.

This is the main tourist section in Salisbury. It has everything you'd expect from a touristy beach town. Even though we visited on a weekday in the middle of the winter, many of the businesses were open. The arcade, carousel, the ice cream shop, and some of the restaurants we're all open for business. Even the public restrooms were open! There's a boardwalk here too, but it was covered in snow, so we weren't able to walk that. I'm sure this area looks a lot nicer when there's not a half foot of snow on the ground, so perhaps we'll return when the weather is a little bit nicer.
