This is a multi-town linear park, consisting mainly of the Saddle River County Park Bike Path, a paved walkway that spans the park. There are different sections of the park, each with it's own unique features. We walked six miles along the trail and started here at the Otto Pelhe Area in Saddle Brook. Not only was this our starting point, but it was a middle point and ending point as well. The main feature here is the small lake, which has a paved trail on either side of it. We headed south along the west side of the lake, crossing under the Garden State Parkway, and met up with the main trail and continued south along the west side of the Saddle Brook River, until we reached the southern end of the trail. Here we crossed into Rochelle Park, and headed up a parallel path on the east side of the river, before crossing back into Saddle Brook. Once we got back to the main park area, we headed north into Fair Lawn and Paramus, before turning around and heading back to Saddle Brook and the completion of our adventure. The trail is clean, and very well maintained. There are plenty of trash receptacles for poop-bags along the way, and each park area seems to have either public rest rooms or port-a-potties. The trees were just starting to bud here. I imagine in a couple weeks they will be in full-bloom. This is a great spot for a walk with your dogs if you are in the area.
