This is a pretty nice town beach in Rye, NH. Dogs are allowed from the day after Labor Day until the Friday before Memorial Day, and allowed in the summer months before 9AM and after 7PM. It seems to be a popular place for the locals to walk their dogs. As you can see, we were visited by one along the way. The beach is three quarters of a mile long, and we walked the length of it and back.

This was the first stop of three on our New Hampshire shore adventure. There are a number of small parking areas with free one hour parking along Ocean Boulevard, just south of Odiorne Point State Park. Be careful to stay south of park, because dogs are never allowed at the state park, but are allowed on this part of the shoreline. The area is rocky, but there are two cobble beaches here as well. Reviews online indicated that there were elaborate rock stacks, but we only saw a few, and they weren't very impressive. It was a super hot day, but I swear the temperature dropped 10 degrees as we got closer to the shore. It's a good spot for the dogs to get into the water on a hot day, especially since they aren't allowed at the nearby state park.

This was sort of a continuation of our Little Boar's Head Scenic Walk. We followed the sidewalk along side Ocean Boulevard north from Bass Beach until we reached Philbricks Beach, about three quarters of a mile in one direction. The sidewalk here has been recently repaired in places along the road, but becomes more of a rocky and sandy path as it veers away from the main road as it gets closer to the beach. We spent some time at the beach, before heading back to where we parked in Rye. We walked a total of about five and a half miles along the shoreline in North Hampton and Rye, on a cool and breezy early autumn afternoon.

This is a beach area along side Ocean Boulevard in Rye. The southern end of the beach has "Philbricks Beach" signs, but I believe other stretches of the sand are known as Sawyer Beach and Jenness Beach. We stayed mostly on the "Philbricks" part of the beach on the south end. Signs indicated dogs are allowed from the Sunday after Labor Day until the Friday before Memorial Day. During the season dogs are allowed before 9AM and after 7PM, except on Saturday's when dogs aren't allowed until after 9PM. They can be off-leash here during the dog hours, and Mandy and Lexi took advantage of that freedom, with Lexi running extended zoomies, while Mandy just wandered into the water at the edge of the shoreline to relax. This is a nice off-season beach, but I'm not sure of the parking situation here since we walked here from North Hampton. It's was a good way to wrap up a fun day, and worth a visit if you can figure out how to park here.
