Pine Hill Park

This is a very nice town park in Rutland. We stopped here on the suggestion of an old friend from college, with whom we got to visit with briefly. The park includes the Giorgetti Athletic Complex, some benches and picnic areas, and a stream. There is also an extensive series of trails. We hiked the "Lower Girogetti" trail and the "Middle Giorgetti" trail. The lower one has all sorts of educational stations geared for children. The place is impeccably maintained, and much nicer than the average walk in the woods. We walked about a mile and a half here, on a beautiful summer evening. The park is definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.
