This was something a bit different. According to their website, Yellow Barn is "an international center in service to music, to musicians, and to community". The property features "Beethoven Walks at Greenwood Trail". The trail through the woods features reproductions of Beethoven's manuscripts attached to the trees. There's an accompanying app for iPhone and Android with five pieces of Beethoven's music that line up with five "listening places" along the trail. Classical music isn't really my thing, but I went along with it and played the music along the hike to get the full effect. The trail is a bit over a mile, but we took a wrong turn at one point (the trail is not marked on the All-Trails app), and we also explored the grounds near the "Yellow Barn" once we finished, so we wound up walking about two miles total. The Greenwood School, a boarding and day school, is also located here, and features recreation areas for the students. Without the Beethoven stuff, it's a pretty ordinary trail, but the manuscripts and the listening stations made it a bit more interesting than a typical trail.
