We started off at the parking area on Packardville Road and hiked the trail named "Queen St". It's a wide, gravel trail, almost perfectly flat, adorned by Mountain Laurel on both sides. About a mile in, the trail intersects with the New England Trail, a white blazed multi-state trail. We continued for about a half mile on the New England Trail, and we encounterd a forest worth of Mountain Laurel. It's more Mountain Laurel than I've ever seen in one place. Our hike started off real gloomy, but the sun came out in the end and made it quite nice.
