Mumford River Walk

This is a nice trail that runs between the Mumford River and Linwood Avenue. It's not a complete escape to nature, as it's very close to a busy road. The northern end of the trail features a newish boardwalk that is pretty impressive. We walked about two miles here on a mostly flat and easy trail.

Whitinsville Village

We passed this area while headed to the Mumford River Walk. I debated about wether to stop here or save this for another trip, but ultimately decided to stop and take a quick walk through the village. The village has some historic old mill buildings that have been repurposed. The Whitin Mill complex features some art studios and performance spaces, with some art work on display throughout the grounds. The other section of the village has a fancy church, as well as some war monuments. We wound up walking another mile or so through the village, and it was a nice little walk.
