North Brookfield
North Brookfield Rail Trail

This is a continuation of the trail that started in East Brookfield. The trail widens a short way past the town line, and now resembles a standard rail trail, as opposed to the narrow path on the North Brookfield section. Unfortunately, the trail was washed out. I actually had to pick up the dogs and carry them over the flooded part. It wasn't deep, but it was kind of mucky and I didn't want to have to give them a bath later! The trail crosses Brickyard Road and Bullard Road. We continued past Bullard Road a short distance before turning around. Instead of walking back through the washed out section, we instead took Brickyard Road, past a small pond, and down East Brookfield Road, heading back to East Brookfield where we parked.
