This is a large, 325 acre park located in the center of the city of Nashua. The park features a wide variety of trails, some paved, some gravel, and some standard dirt trails. There is a fishing area and boat dock near the "Gatehouse Entrance". There is also "Mine Falls", a man-made waterfall and dam. The falls weren't that impressive, and hard to photograph because the sun was directly behind them. We used the "Green Trail Loop" route in All-Trails as our guide, but extended it by continuing on the trail under the Everett Turnpike, past the athletic fields. We also veered off the main gravel trail, opting for the less boring dirt trails that run along the river. The trails are all well maintained and easy to follow, but there are so many of them that an online GPS enabled map is helpful. The trails were mostly dry, and they weren't buggy, which is unusual in the woods this time of year. We also walked around the stadium and the YMCA, which are on the other side of the parking area. Our hike was just over four miles, on a gorgeous late summer afternoon.
