This was part two of our Jersey Shore beach adventure on this day. We started at the beach pavilion. There is a very run-down, but cool looking house, right next to the pavilion. A new, modern house is being built right next to it, and the two structures couldn't look any different. We headed north along the shore, passing a number of apartment or condo buildings. The New York City skyline can be seen in the distance. We passed a series of rock jetties, and the beach gets a little more boring after that. Unfortunately, this section had a good deal of trash littered on the beach. It was warm for mid-March, and Mandy decided she wanted to go in the water for the first time this year. Normally, Mandy and Lexi's leashes are connected, but I had to unhook them because Lexi wanted no part of the cold ocean water. Once Lexi was free, she had the zoomies, so she ran around the beach for a bit. Both dogs love the beach so much! Despite the trash, this was a pretty nice beach, and a very fun walk on a gorgeous day! And with this beach walk, we've now visited the beach in each of 18 different New Jersey municipalities along the Jersey Shore, from Mantoloking up to Sandy Hook Recreation Area in Middletown.
