We were supposed to walk part of the Zim Smith trail, an 11.5 mile bike trail that runs from Mechanicville west to Ballston Spa. As you can see from the photo, this was supposedly the start of the trail. Except for the fact that I couldn't find it. It looks like this part of the "trail" actually runs along city streets. The east end of the actual dedicated trail is a mile away at the end of Elizabeth Street Extension. As it turned out, a thunderstorm was on it's way, so we wouldn't have gotten far anyway. Instead, we walked around the city docks for a bit, and took some photos, before heading back to the car and going somewhere else.
