This was another fantastic summer-like beach day in late October. Temps inland were into the 80's. It was a little cooler on the shore, but still a great day to go to the beach! This is a city beach, situated between the shore and a busy commercial district. Dogs are allowed on the beach in the off season from October through April, but they are never allowed on the boardwalk or promenade. The beach is long. We only covered the northern most section, from Pavilion Avenue up to where Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park begins (according to the sign we encountered, dogs aren't allowed in that park). This was a fun walk on an unseasonably hot day on the Jersey Shore!

We were nearby and it was a nice day, so we couldn't leave New Jersey without visiting the beach. We walked about a mile along the shoreline, starting at the West End Beach entrance. This is a different section of beach than our first trip to Long Branch. It wasn't as warm as our last visit to the borough, and there were fewer people on the beach, but still a few sunbathers despite temperatures only in the low 60's. We walked about a mile here. We also took a photo near the Windmill burger joint near the beach entrance. We considered getting dinner there, but wound up getting Jersey Mike's beacuse it was less greasy.
