This was another really great trip. It was a long drive, but the weather was a great and the park was great, and the dogs seemed to love it too! Great views of the Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty!

This was a great walk on a spring like day! It was nearly 70 degrees, and even some of the flowers were blooming. This is part of the pedestrian walkway that runs along the west side of the Hudson River. This section is just north of Liberty State Park, a place we visited nearly 3 1/2 years ago. I was lucky enough to find a nice parking spot on the street near the Marina, and we headed north on the walkway. The path leads through a number of parks: Morris Canal Park, Colgate Center (with the Colgate Clock), Exchange Place, and J. Owen Grundy Park. The dogs decided they wanted to take a dip in the Hudson near Morris Canal Park. They weren't the only dogs enjoying the water on this warm early March day. Along the walk, there are piers that jet out into the river that provide great vantage points for pictures of Manhattan. The Statue of Liberty is visible in the background of some of the photos, as well as some really odd, giant white head statue. (It would have been too far for us to walk any closer to that on this trip). The walkway eventually leads to Hoboken, but we only walked about 2 1/2 miles before turning around and heading back.
