This adventure was mysterious and important. Fans of the Apple+ TV show "Severance" will know what I am talking about. Mandy and Lexi visited the actual Lumon building from the show. This was Bell Labs research and development facility for 44 years. Bell mostly moved out, and put the building up for sale in 2006. The building was empty for a time, but in 2013 Somerset Development purchased the building and turned it into a multi-use facility that includes offices, a health and wellness center, a spa, shops and restaurants. Public access is mostly relegated to the first floor. Oh, and it's dog friendly inside and out. Leashed dogs are actually allowed inside, and some of the shops allow dogs too. The ice cream shop "Jersey Freeze" even has pup-cups! Of course, the building has received some attention as of late, because it doubles for "Lumon Industries" in the TV Show "Severance". Scenes from the first two seasons of the show were filmed here. This was a fun trip, mainly because it's a bit different from our usual adventures. I've broken it up into inside and outside adventures, as the outer grounds are really great too.

In addition to being dog-friendly inside the building, the outside grounds are dog friendly as well. There is a great walking trail around a small pond on the southwest side of the building. In addition to the walking trail, we circled the building in it's entirety. It was a gorgeous spring day, and there was plenty of spring-time scenery to take in!
