This was our third visit to this part of Maine in the past eight days. ChatGPT suggested this spot as a good place to take dogs when I was researching our other trips. It was right, this is a great spot to bring dogs. The park was formerly a US Navy Fuel Depot, but now it includes walking trails, picnic areas, and a beach. It's very dog friendly. Dogs must be leashed from 10AM to 4PM throughout the park, but can be unleashed when they go in the water. We walked the walking trail around the perimeter of the park. Half of the trail is around the edge of an open meadow with great views. The other part of the trail is through a more wooded section. After the trail, we headed to the beach. The water is shallow and calm, just the way Mandy and Lexi like it. The weather was fantastic on this day. Temps were only in the low 70's, with bright sunshine. It was a great day for a two and a half mile walk around a nice park.
