I've been looking at online maps, searching for parks that are about a half hour away or so, and found this one. We walked around the athletic fields before finding a trail. This was an easy trail. On the other side of the park is the West Brook Trail and Goat Rock Ridge trail, and they go straight up! I don't know the name of the trail we hiked, but it only went up about 100 feet or so. It wasn't on any of my maps, so we basically walked for about a half hour and then turned around to get back to the car before it got too dark.

The parking lot and trail head for this spot is actually located in Wilbraham, but the entire loop trail is over the town line in Hampden. This was a very nice walk, with a couple of hills to tackle. The fall foliage provided for a very scenic walk. This place probably looks like just another walk in the woods the rest of the year. The pictures below are from the Hampden loop, but there is one great photo on the Wilbraham Page.
