Esopus
Esopus Lighthouse Park & Meadows Preserve

These are two places that are directly next to each other, connected by a short walking path. The parking lot was full at Esopus Meadows Preserve, so we parked at the park instead. Both areas are nice, right along side the Hudson River with views of the lighthouse. The Meadows Preserve also features some trails in the woods. I originally intended on hiking those trails, but we arrived too late in the day and wanted to get photos by the river before all the sun went away. We did hike a short trail along the river that leads to a beach. Both parks are popular with the fishing crowd. I love the sign with the all the town names in the first picture below. We've visited eight out of the twelve towns on the sign already!
