This is another dog friendly beach on Cape Cod, part of the Cape Cod National Shoreline. We actually crossed over to this beach from Marconi Beach in Wellfleet. We didn't make it all the way down to the lighthouse. We will have to return someday to explicitly visit this beach.

Five days after visiting the extreme north end of this beach while visiting Marconi Beach in Wellfleet, we returned to visit the rest of this wonderful beach properly. It was a nicer day this time around, with less haze and humidity, and a bit cooler. There are less people than Marconi Beach, most likely due to the much smaller parking lot. The lot fills up quickly in the summer, and was full when we arrived. They would let additional cars in as others would leave. We were 5th in line waiting to get in, and it took about 20 minutes. There's a path that leads down to the beach. Like the other Cape Cod National Seashore Beaches, it costs $25 for a day pass (which is good for all of the National Seashore Beaches), and dogs are allowed outside of the guarded areas and areas roped up to protect shoreline birds. There were no areas roped off for the birds on this day. We were able to walk the beach from near where we left off last time at the north end, all the way to Coast Guard Beach to the south. We took some time to just and relax on the beach, and also go in the water. There's also a short trail near the parking light that leads Nauset Lighthouse that we checked out as well. The Cape Cod National Shoreline beaches are wonderful places to go with your dogs if you are vacationing at the Cape!
