Coxsackie

Coxsackie Riverside Park

Date visited: 9/10/2025

This is a beautiful park in the center of Coxsackie Village. The park is well maintained and has direct access to the Hudson River. There are plenty of benches, flowers, and gazebos. A very cool sailing ship was docked here too. There is a small beach area, but signs indicated swimming was not allowed. They have a Farmer's Market at the pavilion on Wednesday evenings, which was underway by the time we left. I was really impressed by this well manicured park, and the entire village as a whole. We walked about one and a half miles total, on a perfect late summer afternoon.

Coxsackie Village

Date visited: 9/10/2025

This is the small village near Coxsackie Riverside Park. I thought the area looked like it was from a movie set. It definitely had an old time feel to it. The word "Coxsackie" is a Native American word that means "Hoot of an owl", and there is definitely an owl theme throughout the village. This was a fun area to explore!
