This is a pretty interesting place we visited after work. This preserve features a maze of trails. We tried to follow the All-Trails route, but the All-Trails route didn't line up with the actual trails. Not only that, the All-Trails app seemed to have us follow at least four different blazed trails, so it was all pretty confusing. We pretty much just had to wing it, but I'm certain we would have gotten lost without the GPS. The Visitor Center was closed, but the area around the Visitor Center was the nicest part of the nature center. The bomb shelter was odd to say the least. I wish we walked this part first, before hiking the trails. That way, the pictures would have come out better when there was still more light. All in all, this was a good hike, but it was also a sad hike. The leaves were changing colors, and it got dark early. I'm missing the summer time already!
