This town park was the start of our Burlington adventure, which also included the Town Common and the nearby Sculpture Park. The unique feature of this park is the tree house/elevated gazebo. There are also picnic areas, athletic courts, and a skate park. This was our starting point and our ending point, but we cut the trip short because the Wether Channel app failed me, and a storm front was moving in, despite the fact the app called for sunny skies all afternoon. We only wound up walking 1.5 miles total.

This was the second stop of our Burlington adventure that featured Simonds Park and the Sculpture Park. This is a typical town common with a large grassy area (in this case, covered with snow), and paved walkways, benches and monuments. It seemed larger than most other town commons.

Just across the street from the Town Common is the small sculpture park. These are always pretty cool, but some of the pieces seem to be re-hashed from other sculpture parks. For instance, we saw a very similar lovebird sculpture in Putnam CT four years ago. I liked the blue piece, called "Seraph", and "Edwin the Hungray Dragon" was pretty cool as well. The photo of the pig isn't actually from the sculpture park, but from the nearby parks and recreation building, but I included it here (under the "More Images" menu) for simplicity purposes. After checking these out, it got real cloudy fast as a some snow squalls were moving in, so we headed back to Simonds Park where we parked, and called it a day.
