Andres Institute Of Art

Date visited: 8/2/2025

This was the third dog-friendly outdoor art gallery that we visited over the last couple of weeks. This one was different from the others in that the artwork is more spread out. It's scattered amongst various trails that lead to the summit of Potanipo Hill. The hill is about a 300 foot climb, so this is more of a workout than the other galleries we've visited. The wooded backdrop with the shadows made it difficult to view the pieces. Many of them just blend end with their surroundings. This park features less "modern art" type sculptures and seems to favor more traditional works, but there are still some pieces that are very interesting to say the least. Since the art is spread out quite a bit, we didn't cover the entire park, but still walked about three and a half miles. This was an okay place, but I liked the exhibits and presentation at Lemon Fair Sculpture Park and deCordova Sculpture Park a bit more. This one is still worth the visit if you happen to be in the area.
